I've got a quick update today on a few new local products we’re now carrying.
Mama Basso’s Pizza – Made in the Quad Cities, these pizzas are easy, delicious, and affordable ($4.99 for a 20-23oz. pizza). Available in varieties like Pepperoni, Cheese, and Mama’s Special (Cheese, Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, and Green Olives). Iowa City Grocery Staffer Matt Fodge says, “These pizza cook up with a light and flaky crust, and they are SO good for only $5.”
Stashus Gluten-Free Pizza and Pizza Crusts (Coralville Store only)– Gluten-free products have come a long way, baby. These pizzas are also made in the Quad Cities, and come in both Cheese and Pepperoni varieties. Plus, we have a top-your-own 4-pack of gluten-free crusts for $11.99.
Red Avocado Carrot Chipotle Pâté – If you’ve ever been to their restaurant, located right across the street from the Iowa City Co-op, then you’re well aware that the folks at Red Avocado can cook up some really, really good food. They’ve created a winner once again with their new Carrot Chipotle Pâté. A creamy, smoky-sweet spread that’s great on crackers, chips, or as a veggie dip. For those of you who miss the old Red Avocado yam pâté, this makes a more than adequate replacement … same creamy sweetness with the extra spicy kick of chipotle.
